Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 2 ounces reposado tequila
  • 8 ounces apple cider
  • Ice
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch ground clove
  • Pinch freshly ground nutmeg
  • Pinch freshly grated ginger

Instructions

  • Add 1 ounce Grand Marnier, 2 ounces reposado tequila, and 8 ounces apple cider to a mixing glass filled 1/3 full with crushed ice. The difference between apple cider and apple juice is confusing. Don't worry... it's not you. For example, companies like Martinelli's use the terms solely for marketing. On their website, they even admit that their "apple juice and cider are the same; the only difference is the label." Plus, there's just no legal standard. However, some states do have standards. Think of it this way, fresh cider is raw apple juice that has not been filtered and sometimes not even pasteurized. Apple juice is clear and always pasteurized. Oh, but outside the United States, cider usually refers to a fermented, alcoholic beverage, what we call hard cider.
