Ingredients

  • 1 bag Mate Lemon by Numi
  • 1 avocado
  • ½ cup baby spinach
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ cup frozen peaches
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Chia seeds
  • Pumpkin seeds

Instructions

  • Now to get the full effects of green tea, it is best steeped. We are gonna cheat a bit since we don't want a warm smoothie. You can do one of two things, warm up the almond milk and steep the tea. Then chill it in the fridge over night. Or, my preferred way... cut open the bag, add it to the milk, and cold brew it overnight in the fridge.
  • Of course, if you are in a hurry, it is reasonable to just dump the Mate Lemon Tea into the blender at blending time and go from there.
  • Add the 1 cup of green tea infused almond milk (with or without the tea leaves), 1 avocado, 1/2 cup of spinach, 1/2 of a banana, 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple, and 1/2 cup of frozen peaches to your blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Slice up the remaining 1/2 of a banana. Divide the smoothie between two bowls and top with the banana slices, chia seeds, and pumpkin seeds. Enjoy!
