No food needed, my friends. However, a hot summer day and scantily clad friends would pair perfectly. I suggest chilling a few of these and let it low. Throw out some chips and dip, I’d even go with Jerry James Stone’s guacamole.
Speaking of food, Cass Winery does have a café so if you’re looking for lunch and vino this is the place to go. The vibe is always laid back and friendly. Chances are you’ll see co-owners, Steve Cass or Ted Plemons, around the tasting room as well. You can’t miss Ted, he’s a cross between Steven Tyler from Aerosmith and Richard Branson. He’s got the personality to match.
These two fellas had their first vintage in 2003 and haven’t looked back. All of their wines are estate grown, meaning on their property rather than outsourcing and in 2011 they became SIP Certified. One thing Bryan Cass, son of owner Steve, says of the SIP Certification is, “it help the longevity of the vineyard by promoting soil health and water conservation.” Cheers to longevity!
